Human Faith Ignited by Gods Supernatural Faith

A PERSONAL TALK WITH OUR READERS:  As I sit at my desk looking out the picture window, I see the last of the summer leaves falling to the ground.  I am reminded of the death, burial and resurrection of God’s people.  If the Lord tarries, new leaves will sprout again next April.  But, if the Lord comes before April the saints who died in Christ will walk the streets of DeWitt again, even as they did in Jerusalem when Jesus resurrected!  I find myself watching for some that I know have been in the grave.  We know that everyone will not see them, but the living Bride will recognize the resurrected Bride.  This is not a fairy tale, it’s the Scripture!  The Scripture cannot be broken and so we watch and wait with great anticipation to see this astounding, Supernatural move of God!  He will not disappoint us, He will move at exactly His Pre-set time, not too early, but not a minute late either!  In the meantime, I write to our readers to thank you with all my heart for your Prayers and your loyal physical support!  Someday soon, we will all meet together at the Great Marriage Supper.  My heart leaps for joy at the thought and I can only try to imagine how it will be.         I love you,

                                                                                                                           Br. Wood

I feel that this is a message of emergency.  Even though we have Preached it many times before, we still need to be reminded of it often.  In listening to our Brother Branham’s Sermons, we hear him ask the People who are there to be healed, “Do you believe with all your heart?”  Hundreds of times we have heard him ask the people this question.  His questions would be along this line,  Do you believe me to be God’s Servant and Prophet?  Do you believe that Jesus Christ, who was crucified and buried, did raise from the dead and that He is alive today and is here with us to do the same works He did before His death?  He was trying to get the People to See that they who believed these foundational truths did already have human Faith, and Yet, though they were believers some of them did not receive their healing.          The question that must be answered is “Why did some of these Believers not receive healing?”  Both the Scriptures and the Prophet give the answer.  In Mark 9: 19-24, we read where a man who was a real Believer could not bring healing to his son with only his human Faith (or Believing.

In this story, we learn that there is a difference between our human believing and God’s Supernatural Faith.  Jesus told this man, “All things are Possible to those who believe.”  Then the man, who knew he was a believer (human Faith) replied, “Lord I believe, help Thou my unbelief.”

This was a Spiritual man.  He had learned that his human Faith had not been enough to See his son healed.  He knew that God does require us to have human Faith, but He also knew that God must spark, or quicken that believing that was in his mind.

Do we in the   Bride know that today?  I am afraid that some do not have this Revelation.  We must believe intellectually, and then we must expect God to Send His Supernatural Faith to spark our human Faith.  The reason is that our natural believing cannot rid us of all the devil’s fears and doubts.  Because doubts are Supernatural and from the devil, So must we be delivered the Supernatural Faith of God that was once delivered to the Saints. (Jude 3)  No fear or doubts can Stand before God’s Faith.  But today, even as it was in Jesus’ day, we must believe, and then expect God to help our Unbelief.

To suppose that our natural believing will bring our answer amounts to a Self Works Program, which would lead to False Pride that God hates.  In Heb. 11:6, we See this truth brought out also, “But without Faith it is impossible to Please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently Seek Him.”  Do you see it?  We must believe (human Faith)  then expect Him to reward us for our Believing by Sending us His Supernatural Faith.

His Faith cannot come without bringing the answer to our Problem!  It is as sure to bring the answer as when the sun rises, It brings light and heat.  Heb. 12:2, “Looking unto Jesus the Author and finisher of our Faith----.”

In Acts 3: 1-16 Peter said the man at the Gate Beautiful was healed by the Faith which was given by Jesus.  It was not done by the human believing of Peter.  We cannot manufacture God’s Supernatural Faith.  Jude told us in his Book that God’s Faith has to be put in our heart by God.  He said we must contend for it, and we do that by holding onto our human Faith until God Sends us His own Faith.

QUOTE: “PERFECT FAITH” PAGE 7, “Now, if you see somebody else do something by a word, act of God, a promise of God; and many of them say,” I can do that too!” (It’s an imagination)  And when they do, you find them wrecked up out there somewhere. (It’s got to be a substance!!!)  Now, that is potentially a faith.  That is something that would bring you   to a faith.  It’s potentially, like if you’d asked me for an oak tree and I give you an acorn.  Potentially you have an oak tree, but it hasn’t produced itself   yet;     But    when it really brings itself out, it is an oak tree.  And when you imagine that God does this…But when it’s revealed to you, it’s a faith then, a Perfect Faith that cannot fail.”  The acorn is our human Faith, but it takes God’s Supernatural Faith to bring it to the Perfect Faith that brings our answer.  But as long as we think we can bring the miracle with our human Faith alone, the Lord has to hold up our answer to Save us from Self Pride.

QUOTE: “IT IS THE RISING OF THE SUN”  VOL. 3B-PG’S 16-17,  “But now, for instance, what if--if we were going to go back to Tucson this afternoon  (now) and each one of us had a—was going to go in a—a big Cadillac, brand new; and all of the seats were made out of—doeskin (softest of the leather, soft and easy to sit in); and the floorboards were plush; the steering wheel were nickel-plated and had diamond studs all over it; and the engine was mechanically tested to be exactly the right engine; and the wheels were—all  had bearings and greased up; and the tires were all puncture-proof and blow-out free, all  been tested scientifically.  They had been     pushed     off    the assembly line, both of them, and both of them filled up with gasoline.  That’s the running power, the gasoline, because in it is the octane.  But now, when you’re going

to start them, although both of them look just alike, but there’s one of them don’t have any spark—(any firing power.)

Well,” you say, “the power is in the gasoline, Brother Branham.”  But I don’t care how much power is in the gasoline, unless there’s a (spark) there  to manifest that power, less there’s a power there to confirm that that’s gasoline, it just might as well be water.

Until… No matter how much theologians claim, how well you got your church set, how much education you got, how much like the Bible, until that wave Sheaf, until the Holy Spirit comes upon that person to quicken that Word (the gasoline represents the Word: It’s the Truth); but without the Spirit it won’t move!

We’ve put too much stress on the mechanics and nothing on the dynamics.  It needs the dynamic Power of God, the Resurrection power of Jesus Christ upon the Church to manifest and to bring to pass that this is gasoline!  It might be in a gasoline can; it (could still be water.)  See?  But the only proof of it is put the (Life on it), and it’ll prove whether it’s gasoline or not.  It seems to this writer that this Quote is Self explanatory.  The gasoline is the Written Word and we can have our minds full of the Word, but until there is a spark that comes, The Holy Ghost, the Word won’t do its work.  We call that spark a Revelation!

Quote: “Blasphemous Names” Pg. 22, “And the biggest part of our faith is mental faith.  By hearing the Word we—brings us to a mental recognition of God.  But if this coming from above, oh Brother, if it ever strikes this, there is a Godly, Spiritual faith.  Then what does that Faith do?  That faith recognizes only the Word.  No matter what anything else says, it only recognizes the Word because In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”  (And the Word’s still God.)  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,…And when the Word Itself is pouring into our faith, our mental faith becomes a spiritual revelation…“And upon   this   foundation   I’ll Build My Church,”  See, not upon a mental conception of church joining, a mental conception of that, but upon the revelation.  When them streams of grace is pouring into that mental faith that you’ve got, then upon this, a spiritual revelation, “I’ll build My Church and the gates of hell can’t prevail against It.”  See?

Brother Branham’s teaching on the difference between our human Faith and God’s Supernatural Faith is to this writer the answer to why So many believers do not receive the Miracles that are so greatly needed!  The Lord desires to deliver His Faith to us and He watches to See who will hold to their intellectual believing until He quickens it for us.  We are told to “Wait upon The Lord and He will renew our Strength.”  In John, the 21st Chapter is the Story of Peter and the other disciples who had fished all night and caught nothing.  Then Jesus said, “Cast the net on the right side of the ship and you shall Find” (Fish).  They obeyed and caught their net full of fish.  Then in John 21:10, Jesus said, “Bring the Fish which you have caught.”  But who was it that really caught the Fish?  It was the Lord Jesus who caught the Fish.

But He said, “Bring what you have caught.  In the Same Gracious manner, He gives us His Faith, then Says, “Your Faith has made you Whole.”  All the time it is His Faith that He  delivers to us!  The good news is that when we do our Part, the Lord never Fails to do His Part.  Our Part is to continue to hold to our Intellectual believing until The Lord quickens it for us by sending His Supernatural Faith in on top of our human Faith.

I will quote  Jude Verse 3  again  “Beloved  when  I  gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the Faith which was once delivered unto the Saints.”

Jude said, “I needed to tell you that you have to contend for the Supernatural Faith of God.”  Contend means to strive for, to ask for and desire it.  How do we Strive for God’s Supernatural Faith???  We do  so  by believing with our human Faith.   We contend  by setting  our  mind   (our will) to believe until God sparks it.

But we have tried to use only our human Faith and expect our answers.  We have thought if I can only believe a little harder God will answer me.  Truth is, we can’t believe hard enough to rid our mind of all doubt.  God has to do that for us.  And the Sooner we See this and trust Him to do His Part in this thing of Miracle Faith, the Sooner our answer will come.     Amen
