“GOD CANNOT LIE!”

sermon per week in our local paper and trying to mail the Bride in the U.S. and
other countries one sermon a month, I find my strength is often used up.

A few nights ago, I dreamed that I was walking down a street, and looking
up, I saw my departed wife coming to meet me.
I cried out, “Chris, is that really you?” and she replied, “Yes,
it’s really me!” Then I woke up.
I believe it was a reminder of what is soon to happen as The Lord sounds
the resurrection trumpet. Let us
press on; we know it will soon be over.

A Spiritual Knowledge of God is the Greatest need of every human
creature! We must have a Clear,
Unmovable, Solid Rock Revelation of His Perfection!
And He has given us this all-Powerful Revelation in His Word.
God is a Spirit who can divide Himself and live in all who
desires His Holiness.
To the Christian, He is a tender, compassionate, loving Father.
To the unrepentant and rebellious, He is a consuming Fire!
To His children, He is the Perfect Person with the Perfect Character who
can do no wrong!
There is a Sin in the Church today that is the cause of most all our
unsolved Problems! And although this
Sin is Self Destructing, it is more or less ignored.
We could go a little further and say, “It is Socially Accepted.
The young and the old are guilty, the rich and the poor
are both guilty, the learned and the unlearned are guilty, the Saved
and Unsaved are guilty! The socialite
and the ditch digger are guilty!” Although
this Sin is so very common place and so un-Christ like, it goes almost unnoticed
in religious circles.
Many of us commit it every day just in our normal conversation!
Do you have an idea of the Sin I speak of??
I will read it to you in the Scriptures.
1ST. JOHN 5:10, “He that believeth on the son of God hath the witness in himself:
He that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not
the record that God gave of his Son.” Did
we hear it??? Or did the words just
pass on through our head without getting down into our Soul?
He that doubts one Word that God has said has called God a liar!
Really??? Is that really what
God means? “Surely God knows I try
to Believe and can’t do it.” Question:
where in the Bible does it say we can’t believe?
God says He leaves it up to us to Believe, He tells us to believe Him,
but we say “We can’t!” Then by
our thinking or saying we can’t, we call God a liar.
Murder is bad, rape is bad, fornication is bad, but to call God a liar
hurts him worse than all of it.
NU. 23:29, “God is not a
man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he
said and shall he not do it? Or hath
he spoken and shall he not make it good?”
ROM. 3:4,
“For what if some did not believe?
Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written,
THAT THOU MIGHTEST BE JUSTIFIED IN THY SAYINGS, AND MIGHTEST OVERCOME WHEN THOU
ART JUDGED.”
1ST. JOHN 5:10, “He that
believeth on the son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not
God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of
his Son.”
This Scripture in 1ST.
JOHN 5:10, should scare all the unbelief out of us!!!
That is what it is meant to do! Think
about this; what if God should appear to us in His resurrected body, and after
we could get our breath again, we should Quote some of His Word to him----and
then say, “God, I don’t believe this Scripture?”
You may say to yourself, “I would never do a thing like that!!!”
But wait! Are not we who call
ourselves Believers guilty at times of doing exactly that???
Do we not read some of His Precious Promises, then doubt that He
will keep His Word to us and meet our need whatever it is?
Of course no Christian would open his mouth and openly call God a
liar---but don’t we sometimes walk away from His word and doubt that our
answer is on the way?? And do we not
understand that God says this is the same as calling Him a liar?
Deny that every Word in the Holy Bible is true and we are guilty of calling
God a liar!
It is useless to say you believe the Doctrines of the Bible until you are
ready to acknowledge that God is no liar---and that by reason of His
Perfect Character, He will keep every jot and tittle of His Word!
It is impossible to over-estimate the importance of the three words
of the title of our Sermon, “GOD CANNOT
LIE!”
If I were told that I
only could preach one more sermon, then I would have finished my earthly
work,---and that my last message could consist of only one sentence, I would
choose a very short one, it would only have three words in it!
I would stand and say, “GOD
CANNOT LIE!” These three
words explain the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and when truly believed,
they will result in Eternal Life.
We must believe that God’s Bible in its original manuscript is without
error. This then, is the starting
point of Christian Theology. It is
the point at which the devil is constantly hurling his hellish army.
It is his aim to destroy our Faith in God’s Word!
We have read God’s Word that declares His Faithfulness and His
testimony is that He is no liar.
Now let’s read His Word that tells us that there is a liar and
straightly points him out. John
8:44, “Ye are of your father the
devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because
there is no truth in him. When he
speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of
it.”
The Bible is a Divine
Revelation that is shown to all who will repent and choose to Follow
God’s Plan for their life! To
these is given the Spiritual Knowledge that their Heavenly Father is the
Author of the Bible and that He cannot and will not ever lie!
These receive a nature change that is as drastic as it would be if we
could change a pig’s nature into a Lambs nature.
With the new nature which is God’s Spirit in us, then we believe
God’s Promise that says, “…I will
hasten my word to perform it.” (JERM.
1:12)
But without the Spirit of God in us, we still have a pig nature, and that
nature does not desire Spiritual Revelation.
It will seek information in many other spheres, but the Book of all Books
is ignored. This is true not only of
the ignorant and illiterate, but by the wise of this world also!
The Contempt with which the Bible is treated by the lost is just
more proof that human nature is exactly what the Bible says it is, fallen
and depraved, and is evidence that the carnal mind is God’s enemy.
Now let’s check ourselves and see if we are guilty of calling God a
liar. Are there some promises that
He has made that we are in doubt about? What
about this one, (1ST. PETER 2:24) “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we,
being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were
healed.” Do we believe that
Word with all our heart, mind, body, spirit and soul, or do we doubt it in some
cases---not realizing that God sees that as calling Him a liar.
In NU. 23:19, God said, Have I said it and shall I not then do it?
Or have I spoken and will I not make it good?
This Sermon is to help us all realize that not only do we suffer
from our unbelief, but we also accuse our God of having a terrible flaw in His
Character---that of being a liar---and the Bible says no liar shall enter
Heaven!!!
Those people who have God’s Soul in them (The Holy Ghost)---they
know that the God that created them has not one single flaw in His Being!
He is Perfectly Holy, He is Perfect Love, He is Perfect Knowledge, He is
Perfect Wisdom, and He is Perfect Power. No
devil, nor group of devils can find a Sin in Him---No Angel in Heaven would dare
Fault Him-----Yet we lowly human beings are often guilty of doubting some of His
Word, which is to call Him a liar!
Something more than just knowing some things about God is needed by His
Bride. God is only known by us when
we have His Soul in us!
It is then that we submit to His Authority, and give all the details of
our lives over to Him. HOSEA. 6:3 “Then
shall we know, if we follow on (In the path of obedience) to
know the Lord…” DANIEL
11:32, “….But the people that do
know their God shall be strong…”
EXODUS 15:11,
“Who
is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods?
Who is like thee, glorious in
holiness, fearful in praises, doing
wonders?
MAL. 3:6,
says, “He changes not.” Therefore
His goodness never fades out or Fails. How
high is this God above us creatures that He has made??
How should we see Him and love Him and trust Him and obey
Him-----Let the Scriptures tell us about Him---Let God testify for Himself.
ISA. 40:12:18, “Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and meted out
heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and
weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being
his counselor hath taught him?
With whom took He counsel, and who
instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of Judgment, and taught Him
knowledge, and shewed to Him the way of understanding?
Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the
balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient
for a burnt offering.
All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and
vanity.
To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto
him?
THIS GOD CANNOT LIE! LORD
GIVE US THE REVELATION! AMEN
