This
September sermon is a continuation of the August 2007 sermon on the Book of
Revelation. Please have your August sermon before you as you continue the
teaching in the following sermon.
II Cor. 5:1-4,
“For we know that if our earthly house
of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not
made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which
is from heaven:
3
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4
For we that are in [this] tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we
would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of
life.”
I Cor. 15:38-40, “But God
giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39
All flesh [is] not the same flesh: but [there is] one [kind of] flesh of men,
another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, [and] another of birds.
40
[There are] also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the
celestial [is] one, and the [glory] of the terrestrial [is] another.”
QUOTE: C.O.D. BOOK,
PAGE 339-340, “Now, if you take the
theophany when you are looking at that, that’s a man. Now, that’s where we
were in the beginning. Now, you do not understand it now, but you was back there
in the beginning that way. When God made man in His Image, He made him a
theophany. And He only placed him in flesh… When God made man in His image, in
His likeness, in Genesis 2, or Genesis 1:28, I believe it is, “There
was no man yet to till the soil,” and God had done made male and female.
That’s right, “No man to till the soil.” Then God brought man a little lower
down and put him in animal life, that’s this body, just like the animals so
that he could till the soil, could touch. That theophany doesn’t have touch,
it doesn’t see, taste, smell, hear; these senses that we have. So God put man
down there in order to—to touch and to feel” (End quote)
II Corinthians 15:
48-50, “As [is] the earthy, such [are] they also that are earthy: and as [is]
the heavenly, such [are] they also that are heavenly.
49
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of
the heavenly.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
Br. Branham taught that
we were once the angels that did not fall and Scripture teaches we were first in
the Image of God (Gen. 1:26-27)
QUOTE: UNFAILING
REALITIES OF THE LIVING GOD, PAGE 30,
“Let me say one more thing. Creeds does not satisfy a hungry heart. Creeds
won’t satisfy. If a man is hungry for God, you tell him say, “Say the
Apostles’ Creed, join the church, put your name on here,
be sprinkled or immersed, or whatever you want to, that will never satisfy a
hungry soul. Cause, they were predestinated of God to search for Life. They
was once the angels, they was once an angel who did not fall. Two-thirds
(Br. Branham meant to say one-third) of the angels of Heaven fell; that’s
these evil spirits working amongst people, very religious. You know the Bible
says that. You was just not all always right here. You were once somewhere
else.
Remember, sin, didn’t begin on Earth. Sin begin in Heaven, when Lucifer
taken and made it. He said, “I want a denomination, make a great big thing,”
went on the north country and set up a bigger thing than Michael had. And he was
kicked out of Heaven.
And those angels back there, them spirits. Well, that’s the reason, “When
this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting.” See?
And that’s the reason, “Our name
was put on the Lamb’s Book of Life before the foundation of the world.”
“All the Father has given Me, will come to Me.” (End quote)
All of God’s creation was created perfect in the beginning, even
Lucifer! Ezekiel 28:15, “Thou [wast]
perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found
in thee.” Even the angels were created free-moral agents! How do we know? Because they were confronted with
a choice. They had to choose
who to follow, God, or one of His created beings. When our Prophet said we were
once an angel that did not fall, he was referring to Gen. 1:26-27. Our
first creation was in an angelic body, like God’s own body. Br. Branham said
God has a Theophany Body that He uses when it please Him.
QUOTE: IF GOD BE WITH US, PAGE 10, “It was God, it was a
theophany, a man in the form of God, like appeared to Abraham back in the
wilderness, and He looked like a man.” (End quote)
Let me give another Bible example of the fact that God’s Elect have a
Theophany Body! In Acts 10: 1-25, we have the record of Peter going to
Cornelius in his theophany body and Cornelius trying to worship Peter. It
happened in the same way John the Revelator tried to worship the theophany body
of the angel that was giving him the Book of Revelation. See Rev. 19:10
and Rev. 22:9.
In these last hours, just before the Rapture of the Bride, God is
revealing Scripture that has never before been understood. His purpose is to
show His Bride who they really
are…..Creatures of God created at first in bodies like God’s own body. God
has a Theophany! In these flesh bodies, we are just the counterpart of a
supernatural being that was created before there was a world! The Scriptures in Acts
10 are just one more proof of this.
These revelations have
to do with Rapturing Faith. At the
same time, these revelations are constantly dividing the people. Church Natural,
without the Holy Ghost Oil, will not understand these truths!
Acts 10:1-6, “There was a
certain man in
2
[A] devout [man], and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much
alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
3
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God
coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
4
And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And
he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before
God.
5
And now send men to Joppa, and call for [one] Simon, whose surname is Peter:
6
He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall
tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
Acts
22
And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God,
and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an
holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
23
Then called he them in, and lodged [them]. And on the morrow Peter went away
with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
24
And the morrow after they entered into
25
And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and
worshipped [him].
Peter, in his Theophany
Body, looked similar to Peter in his flesh body. Our glorified
body will be a mixture of this flesh
body with the Heavenly body.
However, the flesh, with its Law of Sin in it, will be changed. The Prophet
taught that God is perfected in three’s.
So we have this body here, the flesh one, then the theophany in the
Heavenlies, and some day soon the two will merge into one, which in reality will
make the third body, and we will be perfected in it. It will be the Glorified
Body that we spend Eternity in.
Going back now to our
Scripture in Acts 10 and looking again at the fact that Cornelius
recognized Peter, the man, as the angel who had come to him in the vision-----we
have Scripture for the fact that our flesh man and our theophany are similar in
appearance!
I Cor. 15:40,
“There are
also celestial (celestial is Heavenly)
bodies and bodies terrestrial (earthly):
but the glory of the celestial is
one, and the glory of the terrestrial is
another.”
I Cor. 15:48-49,
“As is the earthy, such are they also
that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of
the heavenly.”
Notice! The Scripture
says the image of the earthly and the
image of the heavenly are similar. The image of Peter in his theophany was such
that Cornelius thought he was some kind of God! And, he wasn’t too far wrong,
for he was a chip off the Block of His Father God!
The image of Peter in
his theophany so resembled his flesh body that Cornelius recognized Peter when
he came in from Joppa as being the same one who come to him in his glorious
theophany body! We recall that the Prophet said we have to read between the
lines of Scripture. Doing that, concerning this story, we see that Cornelius was
a Godly man, and one who feared God and prayed to the true God always. In other
words, he was a Christian man and he had visions. Is it not strange then, that
he would not know better than to worship a man such as himself? Notice in Acts
10-4, that Cornelius called the Angel, Lord, but in Acts 10-30, after
he had tried to worship Peter in his flesh body and was corrected, and was
telling of the experience he referred to him as “A man in bright clothing.” I can believe that God’s devout
man, Cornelius, was receiving the revelation that Peter had a theophany body,
and that he had seen it as well as Peter in his flesh body!
Our Father God is doing
all in these last hours to show His Bride who they are and where they came from.
Our Prophet has said that we don’t remember these things now, because of the
veil of the flesh. Therefore, God is seeing fit to remind us by sending
Revelation. This writer can see at least two major reasons for the revelations
that are coming now. One is to open the door of faith for us, so that we will be
enabled to “Reign in this life, by One,
Jesus Christ.” (Rom.
Reason No. two is to
give us Rapturing Faith. If we can accept the fact that we were once angels, (in
theophany bodies) created in God’s own Image, then sent to Earth to live in
flesh, to be tried, then we will know that when the trials are over we must go
back where we came from! John 3:13, “And
no man hath ascended up to Heaven, but he that came down from Heaven, even the
Son of Man which is in Heaven.” This
Scripture applies not only to the Lord Jesus, but also to those who have Eternal
Life. Dear Friends, if we know we have been CALLED, then we can also KNOW that
He will finish the good work He has started in us. (Phill. 1:6) “Being
confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will
perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (That is to say, until the day
He takes us home.)
We will now look at
Revelation Chapter Two. Far be it from us to suppose that we understand all that
the Book of Revelation contains, and we have perhaps poorly explained the parts
that we have revelation on. But, if we know anything about the leading of the
Lord, we are suppose to do our best to teach what God has given to His Prophet
for the Bride. We certainly leave room to be corrected by the Lord, and are
perfectly willing to change whatever we may be wrong about. With this confession
then, we continue our study, straining with all our spiritual strength to hear “What
the Spirit saith unto the Church.”
Rev. 2:1,
“Unto the Angel of the Church of
Ephesus write, these things saith He that holdeth the Seven Stars in His Right
Hand, who walketh in the midst of the Seven Golden Candlesticks.” Having
discussed the Seven Stars, we know they are the Seven Angelic bodies of the
Seven Human Church Age Messengers. In Verse 1, we see that John the
Revelator was receiving a Message from SOMEONE. This SOMEONE said to John,
“Write these things to the First Church Age Messenger. This SOMEONE also said
to John, “These things that I will tell you came from the One who holds the Seven Stars in His Right Hand, Who also walks in
the midst of the Seven Golden Candlesticks (churches).”
In other words, this someone
was repeating what had been told to him, by the One who held the Seven Stars.
This someone was the Angel that Jesus Christ had sent, and by him
signified His messages to His servant John. To state it plainly, the angel was
the theophany body of our Brother William Branham. (We have taught much on this
in other sermons.) This angel, who according to Rev. 19:10, declared
himself to be a “Fellow Servant” with
John, and in Rev. 22:9, went even further in identifying himself and
said, “I am of thy brethren, the Prophets.” We
now see this Brother to John, this Prophet, here in Rev. 2:1, giving John
a Message that was to be written down and given to the first Church Age
Messenger, the Apostle Paul, when he should appear.
What an astounding
Revelation it is to understand that our Last Day Messenger, Brother William
Branham, who in His Theophany Body, and in the high office of a major prophet, was the one who, speaking for God, gave John the
Revelator the whole Book of Revelation. Two thousand years before Brother
William Branham appeared on Earth in Flesh, he is seen here instructing John as
to the writing of the Book of Revelation. This revelation will surely give
credence to the messages Brother William Branham taught in our day. We do know
that Church Natural will not be able to see these mysteries, and we are saddened
by this fact. Nevertheless, we dutifully preach them to God’s Elect Bride.
As we study Rev. 2,
we see this same angel continuing to give John a Message to record, later to be
given to the Messengers of the seven different Church Ages, as they appear on
Earth, in their respective Ages. In Rev. 2:14, we see another astounding
thing. The angel of Rev. 1, who had been giving a Message for the other
six Church Age Messengers, was now giving a Message to John that would be given
to the Last Messenger, Brother William Branham. It was the Theophany Body of
William Branham giving John the Revelator a Message that would later be read in
the Bible by the flesh man, Brother William Branham.
Not only would Br.
Branham, in his flesh, read in the Bible the Message he was to deliver to the
Last Age, but His Theophany Body would come to him in the little room at
QUOTE: THE
REVELATION OF THE SEVEN SEALS, PAGE, 560-561,
“And did you notice that one Angel, I said in there, was a strange Angel? He
looked more to me than any of the rest of them. Do you remember that? They were
in a constellation –three on a side and one on top. And the one right next to
me here, counting from the left to the right, would have been the seventh Angel.
He was brighter, meant more to me than the rest of them. You remember, I said he
had his chest out like that, and was flying eastward. Do you remember like that?
I said, “It picked me up, lifted me up!” do you remember that? …….
Here it is! The one
with the Seventh Seal—the thing that I’ve wondered all my life. Amen! Them
other Seals meant a lot to me, of course, but, oh, you don’t know what this
has meant! (End quote)
To
be continued next month (October) as we study chapter 4 of the Book of
Revelation. Please remember that because the sermons are continued. You should
keep each one to be referred back to as you study.
